T.ime O.f U.se B.ull C.rap in Ontario

I don't know how things are setup with your local energy provider but we're not getting a clear message here. In April we got a chart from our provider E.L.K. Energy that showed a Summer and Winter chart showing the T.O.U. for each season. The Summer chart has the weekday Off-Peak running from 7pm to 7am, peak from 11am to 5pm and mid is the remander. Winter Off-Peak was the same as Summers, but the mid and peak are opposite of Summer.

So far so good.

We get another letter with a chart in Aug. Now, according to the chart, Off-Peak in Winter starts, not a 7pm but 9pm. But below that it states "Effective November 1, 2011, winter weekday off-peak raters will start at 7pm". I contacted ELK and they told me off-peak starts at 9pm. Well, wtf? They're saying two different things. I contacted the Windsor Star, like they give a crap. If it is 9pm you're going to get a lot of people reading the 7pm and thinkings they can start their dishwashers, washers and dryers at 7 and think they're off-peak. What a frikin' money grab this entire thing is.
